Features

Short answers with sources above your existing search – plus tools for embedding, indexing, styling and reporting.

Answers

  • Source cards. Every answer shows which pages it comes from, with a direct link to the matching section.
  • No answer without evidence. Answely only answers from sections of your pages that support the answer. If it finds no evidence, the box shows your notice instead of an invented answer.
  • AI label. Every answer is labelled as AI-generated. The notice cannot be hidden through the configuration or your own CSS; from the Pro plan you choose its wording yourself.
  • Multilingual. 60 languages in your account and on this website, answers in more than 30 languages.

Embedding

  • One script tag. The box attaches to your page's search field and appears above, below or inside an area of your choice. If the search term is in the address, it answers it on page load. Your own search always keeps working.
  • WordPress. The plugin only adds the embed code – no logic of its own, no cookies.
  • Your own result pages and interfaces. Your server fetches the finished box via POST, or you read the answer stream directly and build your own interface. A JavaScript API asks questions from your own code as well.
  • Diagnostics. Answely.diagnose() in the browser console shows whether script, search field and consent fit.

Index

  • Answely reads your pages itself. After domain verification, Answely reads your public pages: server-rendered HTML and PDFs with extractable text. Depending on the plan, pages are re-indexed weekly or daily.
  • Push API. From the Pro plan you send content straight from your server, for example products or texts without a page of their own. It reaches the index within seconds.
  • Overview. Your account lists processed, unchanged, skipped and failed pages with the reason.

Styling

You set colours, corner radius, font and theme (light, dark, automatic) in your account, with a preview. For the details the box uses CSS variables, and your values win.

Editorial answers and reporting

  • Approved answers. Up to 20 exact questions get your own approved answer with a source. Topics can be excluded and preferred sources ranked first.
  • Content gap report. From the Pro plan and only if you opt in, you see which questions your content does not answer yet. Similar questions are grouped by meaning; a group only appears once it has two questions.
  • Answer tests. Up to ten public test questions run after each indexing and show whether the expected terms and sources still come up.
  • Scopes, actions, support. Version scopes keep, for example, product versions apart; approved actions show up to three matching links from your configuration after an answer; when there is no answer, a link leads to your support page.
  • MCP search. A public MCP search can be enabled per website and is off by default.

Privacy

  • No cookies, no visitor identifier.
  • In ephemeral mode – the default for new websites – Answely stores neither question nor answer. Only with "Allow answer cache" are answers kept in a cache for 24 hours.
  • In consent mode the box fetches nothing before consent, not even its configuration. It recognises IAB TCF v2 and consented.eu by itself.
  • Your website's content is used only for answers on your website and not for training AI models.
